Introducción
La LAU fue creada para proteger el desarrollo de tecnologías accesibles de código abierto,
garantizando el derecho al acceso libre para personas usuarias, y asegurando que quienes
crean estas herramientas conserven su reconocimiento, control sobre el uso comercial,
y sean justamente remuneradas si sus desarrollos son utilizados por terceros con fines económicos.
Esta licencia se aplica a este software, extensiones de navegador, aplicaciones cliente,
herramientas locales y sus derivados, con el objetivo de que ninguna plataforma,
intermediario o corporación pueda apropiarse de herramientas creadas para el bien común
ni integrarlas en modelos cerrados o excluyentes.
Está especialmente destinada a obras desarrolladas por personas con discapacidad o por equipos
comprometidos activamente con la accesibilidad digital. Puede utilizarse para licenciar
software accesible, tecnologías inclusivas, extensiones, aplicaciones, contenidos multimedia
adaptados (audio, subtítulos, TTS, audiodescripción), documentación técnica, interfaces,
diseños o entornos digitales orientados a la inclusión.
Esta licencia no se aplica a obras sin relación con la accesibilidad, aunque hayan sido
creadas por personas con discapacidad.
Es compatible con otras licencias como CC-BY, CC-BY-SA o GPL, siempre y cuando no se
contrapongan a los principios éticos de esta licencia ni introduzcan barreras que
contradigan la accesibilidad.
Condiciones de uso
- Uso personal, educativo o comunitario sin fines de lucro.
- Compartir el contenido con atribución correspondiente.
Sobre el uso sin fines de lucro
El uso sin fines de lucro, en el marco de esta licencia, no implica la prohibición de ingresos
o compensación. Se permite utilizar este software en proyectos sostenibles, cooperativos o
comunitarios que reciban donaciones, aportes o financiamiento, siempre que el acceso al
contenido original permanezca abierto, accesible y sin barreras económicas, legales
o tecnológicas como DRM, licencias privativas o paywalls.
Lo que se restringe no es la sustentabilidad, sino el lucro a costa de la accesibilidad.
2. USO COMERCIAL Y CORPORATIVO

2.1. Cualquier uso con fines comerciales, institucionales o corporativos
(incluso sin modificar el código original) requiere consentimiento previo por escrito
de la autora original y una compensación justa acordada previamente. -
2.2. Se considera uso comercial toda forma de integración, distribución o beneficio
indirecto del software o sus derivados, incluyendo publicidad, captación de usuarios,
monetización de contenidos o ventajas competitivas.
3. DERIVADOS Y MODIFICACIONES

3.1. Toda modificación pública debe mantener esta licencia, indicar de forma visible
la autoría original y especificar claramente los cambios realizados. -
3.2. Las versiones derivadas utilizadas con fines comerciales requieren un nuevo acuerdo
explícito con la autora original.
4. PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL Y RECONOCIMIENTO
- 4.1. La autora original mantiene la propiedad intelectual del código, diseño y concepto inicial.
- 4.2. No se permite eliminar, ocultar ni alterar el aviso de autoría ni el manifiesto ético.
- 4.3. Se prohíbe cualquier intento de registrar este software como producto exclusivo,
cerrado o privativo sin autorización expresa.
5. GARANTÍA Y RESPONSABILIDAD
Este software se ofrece “tal cual”, sin garantía de ningún tipo.
La autora no se responsabiliza por daños directos o indirectos derivados de su uso.
6. COMPROMISO DE ACCESIBILIDAD
La accesibilidad no es un privilegio, sino un derecho.
Este software fue creado para ampliar el acceso a contenidos y experiencias antes inaccesibles.
Su uso debe reflejar ese compromiso y no generar nuevas barreras.
Restricciones
- No se permite uso comercial sin autorización expresa.
- No se puede revender ni distribuir versiones cerradas del software o sus derivados.
- No se pueden modificar ni eliminar los créditos originales.
- Cualquier intento de apropiación, comercialización o alteración de esta licencia
será considerado un incumplimiento de los términos.
Nota sobre el lenguaje utilizado
Esta licencia utiliza el femenino genérico como forma de visibilizar y reivindicar el trabajo
de mujeres, personas trans, no binaries y otras identidades históricamente feminizadas dentro
del ámbito de la tecnología y la accesibilidad.

The LAU was created to protect the development of open-source accessible technologies,
ensuring the right to free access for users, and guaranteeing that creators retain
recognition, control over commercial use, and fair compensation if their work is used
by third parties for profit.
This license applies to this software, browser extensions, client-side applications,
local accessibility tools, and their derivatives, aiming to prevent any platform,
intermediary, or corporation from appropriating tools created for the common good or
integrating them into closed or exclusionary models.
It is specifically intended for works developed by people with disabilities or teams
actively committed to digital accessibility, including accessible software, inclusive
technologies, extensions, applications, adapted multimedia content (audio, subtitles,
TTS, audio description), documentation, interfaces, and inclusive digital environments.
This license does not apply to works unrelated to accessibility, even if they were created
by people with disabilities.
It is compatible with licenses such as CC-BY, CC-BY-SA or GPL, provided they do not
conflict with the ethical and accessibility principles of this license.

About nonprofit use
“Nonprofit use” under this license does not prohibit financial support or compensation.
The software may be used in sustainable, cooperative, or community-based projects that

such as DRM, proprietary licenses, or paywalls.
